‘Sakura’, the festival of cherry blossoms, is held here in Cowra every year - celebrating the profound ties between our community and Japan, a connection rooted in history with its origins in the Prisoner of War Camp that housed Japanese P.O.W’s during WWII.
The Sakura label pays homage to this relationship and the iconic Japanese cherry blossom trees, which symbolise the delicate dance between life and death, impermanence, and hope.
Just as the arrival of spring promises renewal and vitality, the blooming cherry blossoms serve as a poignant reminder of life’s fleeting nature, encouraging us to savour every moment. Carefully crafted from fruit grown in our Windowrie Homestead blocks, our Sakura range is the ideal companion to life’s celebratory moments.
